Specialized Training in Dementia Care

This 12-hour facilitated training gives caregivers training in Teepa's Snow Approach™ methods, a series of simple techniques based on understanding the areas of the brain that are no longer working and making use of the parts of the brain that are still active.

This 12-hour facilitated training gives caregivers training in Teepa's Snow Approach™ methods, a series of simple techniques based on understanding the areas of the brain that are no longer working and making use of the parts of the brain that are still active. 

With this training, you will learn person-centered techniques for working with loved ones with dementia, including effective communication for working with those with dementia. 

Dates are June 25, July 2 and July 9, 2026 (attendance required at all 3 sessions)

Times are 9:00 - 1:00 pm each day

Learning Objectives include:

  • Understand different types and stages of dementia
  • Practice positive communication and connection
  • Learn "Hand-under-Hand" technique 
  • Understand appropriate behavior management
  • Learn strategies to reduce anxiety and resistance
